Aloha kākou! My name is Katherine Ruth Noelanikeʻalaokalehua Akau though I go by Keʻala. For me, home is ʻĀlewa in Honolulu on the island of Oʻahu. I am a kanaka maoli medical student at UCSD who is interested in community-partnered and culturally-relevant research to advance health equity. Ultimately, I hope to help address disparities impacting our NHPI communities in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific as a physician.
